Valuation to go Digital

Department of Lands & Physical Planning

The Department of Lands and Physical Planning is embarking on the use of technology to improve land management services and processes within the department.

Last Month (February), a workshop was conducted by the LEAP project team, to train valuation officers from the Valuation Division, about the GoLands system.

During the workshop, the officers were introduced to the GoLands system, including the different processes, roles and functions for each officer, under the new system.

Following the workshop, the Valuation Division, will now do away with the manual processes of doing business, which they have been using for many years.

The GoLands system, is an electronic system aimed at improving the business processes within all divisions of the Department of Lands and Physical Planning.

The use of these automated business processes has seen an increase in the Department’s revenue collection last year.

The Valuation Division will be the first division to use the GoLands System, followed by other divisions.

This is part of the department’s efforts to digitalize all its business processes, and to ensure land services are accessible to the people.
