If this country is to prosper, it needs to extend the much needed services in the urban centres to those in the rural areas.  This as you probably know, is quite a difficult task particularly in a place like Papua New Guinea where transport and communication are difficult.

But for organisations like MiBank, the key to their services getting out there no matter the obstacles to serve the people.  And one of its primary objectives is to achieve financial inclusion because only when the rural are financially aware of what is available and how financial tools are used can Papua New Guinea make inroads into building a more inclusive economy.

The success of MiBank’s financial inclusive initiative not just limited to rural but to women as well is now becoming apparent.  And there is no better way to understand just how well these financial tools are operating than to listen to those who are greatly involved and benefit from it.  Here’s a video, featuring Daniel from Gerehu as he discusses the opening of MiCash Mobile Money Wallet accounts for women.
