Over the weekend we took a drive along Ela Beach. It was a lovely drive with the typical sea breeze and cool surroundings a trademark of this iconic beach.
A lot has happened to this beach and while some are happy with the developments that have taken place, others are rather sad that the traditional feel of Ela Beach is no longer there. Change is a good thing some say. But others disagree particularly those who grew up in the early years of the country’s independence and who have a love for the environment. Ela Beach brought an unique vibe to Port Moresby travellers and locals alike.
We took a video of our trip recently but before we show it to you, you might be interested to see what the previous Ela Beach looked like.
And here’s the video we took over the weekend.
