Here at Skerah, we’re proud of Papua New Guineans doing well. We’re even more proud of Papua New Guineans flying the flag high by graduating in their respective courses. And it’s graduation time for many Universities around the world and way over in Christchurch a Papua New Guinean has achieved a career milestone by graduating with a Masters in Business Administration.
An MBA is a much sought after course. The career opportunities it can open up are numerous.
Allen Tom is a proud recipient of a Masters in Business Administration from the University of Canterbury in Christchurch.
Having taken the course for the last two years, Tom proudly walked up to the podium to receive his MBA – an outstanding achievement after all the sacrifice and commitment he and his family has had to endure.
And it has taken him long for the MBA graduate to start with global tobacco firm, British American Tobacco, as their Strategic Planning and Insights Manager.
Allen has a background spanning a decade as a marketing professional in three industries – FMCG, Retail and Banking and his recent title is certainly a new direction in his career.
Allen considers himself hardworking, self-driven, outgoing and can be competitive – not such bad traits for someone whose eager and willing to achieve.
Congratulations Allen. We wish you all the best and hope your success can be an inspiration to our readers.
