Port Moresby City Transfers has kicked off their service providing a more technologically oriented service that’s intended to provide safety, comfort and with their RideShare initiative, to save costs.
The initiative was initially thought about when Vai IP & Commercial had spare seats on their staff transport system and thought of arranging a RideShare initiative to other like-minded city workers to travel to and from work.
POMCT’s fleet comes in sedans, minivans and vans to cater for the city workers who demand reliable transfer services that’s also safe and comfortable.
The RideShare arrangement enables commuters to pay for their seats as opposed to hiring an entire vehicle. This helps commuters save whilst at the same time riding with co-workers or workers from the CBD area.
Yesterday, POMCT had their WI-FI enabled tablets and eftpos devices installed in the vehicles. This offers passengers a convenient way to pay making it cashless while the tablet devices enable drivers to get real time access to booking information from the main booking system as well as getting access to passengers if need be.
If you work in the main CBD areas and within city limits and would like to take advantage of this service, you can make the bookings on their website pomct.com.
POMCT is really for workers: to get them to work, to do their shopping during lunch and get them home safely. Other services include:
- Airport Transfers
- Harbourside Coffee Transfers
- Nature Park Transfers
