The Cancer Foundation of Papua New Guinea (CFPNG) is taking the fight against cancer to the National Capital District.
In partnership with National Capital District Health and Port Moresby General Hospital, Awareness and Prevention will be the key focus at Vision City Mall on Tuesday 18th August and Foodworld Waterfront on Wednesday 19th August. The 2 day program will include free cancer screening and cancer awareness workshops.
The Program for Port Moresby will be held on both days from 10am to 3pm. The event will entail Free Breast and Mouth Cancer Screening, and awareness of Cervical Cancer prevention. CEO of the Cancer Foundation, Dadi Toka Jr says education, awareness and prevention are the key messages for the campaign. Smoking Tobacco, Chewing Betel nut and consumption of alcohol are all scientifically proven to increase your chances of getting many types of cancer, including mouth, breast & cervical cancers.
