BSP staffs with students and teachers during the hand over ceremony

The students of Gordons Secondary School now have a better study environment, thanks to BSP for renovating the school’s library building through its community project initiative.

The project was delivered by BSP funds management subsidiary, BSP Capital Ltd who completed the renovations as part of their community project for 2016.

BSP Capital’s,  Manager of Funds Willie Konga accompanied by BSP Head of Equities Gheno Minia and Dealer and Client Advisor Salaniet Mathew today officially hand over the renovated building to the school.

“The project was a key part of team building exercise and to promote the organisations values of, community, teamwork, leadership and people. We would also like to acknowledge the assistance of the contractor and Akzo Nobel for donating paint to complete the project,” said Mr Konga.

BSP Capital staff began with a wash-down of the interior and exterior walls of the library with paint work extensively done by staff and their families.

The renovation included the installation of new lighting, new floor tiles, vanished tables, floors and newly painted walls in the interior and exterior of the building.

“We believe in contributing to the development of young Papua New Guineans and assisting in providing better working environment for our students, to improve learning,” Mr. Konga said.

Gordons Secondary School Principal, Mr George Kenega, thanked BSP for choosing the school. He added that the little done makes a big difference in motivating students and staff.
