BSP is committed to promoting its Go Green message in keeping our city clean and green and has come on board with K10,000 sponsorship toward the  ‘Clean-up Mosbi Campaign’ .

The campaign is an initiative of the Sustainable Coastlines PNG in partnership with the National Capital District Commission (NCDC) which starts on the 17 October to 13 November 2016.

This campaign aims to educate and empower Port Moresby residents to improve their waste disposal behaviour and take part in positive action to address the issue.

Ryley Webster CEO for Sustainable Coastline PNG said, “A month long schedule of awareness and clean-up activities aimed at improving NCD residents’ understanding of the impacts of non-biodegradable waste and provide them with tangible solutions to address the issue at a local level.”

The bank’s Relieving Head of Marketing & PR Rosemary Mawe said that BSP is keen to set the pace, as we gear up for Annual Go Green Clean-up day later in November.

BSP is a green bank and we are proud to partner with Sustainable Coastline PNG who also shares similar aspiration in improving our coast that ultimately leads to creating a cleaner and healthier environment for all.

Through this partnership, Sustainable Coastline PNG has also supported our BSP Eco-Ambassadors in facilitating trainings that provides knowledge in better planning and conducting clean up events.

BSP’s Go Green Message is simple; Reuse, Recycle and Respect. Other BSP Go Green activities include; supporting and promoting Earth Hour and Earth Day and taking part in the Port Moresby Nature Park to mark World Environment Day.

“The Annual BSP Go Green Clean Up Day where like-minded people, who want a litter free, clean, green and healthy environment can step forward and join the clean up, while at the same time spreading the message of responsibility to change mindsets,” Rosemary explained.
