The PNG Startup Convention continues to draw more local and international participants and speakers in its third day at the Apec Haus in Port Moresby.
Bank South Pacific (BSP) as one of the venue sponsors of the event recognises the opportunities the convention can provide for Small and Medium Entrepreneurs’ (SME) in PNG and therefore stepped in to support Kumul Foundation Inc with a cheque of K50, 000 to host the event.
“We are not only playing host for the venue but also will be available during the 5 days at the event to provide SME product and service information, also opening accounts and signing in customers for Mobile and internet banking,” she said.
Chairman of the Kumul Foundation Inc Anthony Smare thanked BSP for the generous support that will empower local businesses and political leaders to discuss measures to improve opportunities for PNG and at the same time share network.
“This convention is the largest in PNG with over 50 local marketers and entrepreneurs and over 30 PNG Startups SME’s showcasing and discussing measures to improve opportunities in their investments,” Mr Smare added.
The convention started on Sunday 8th December and will conclude on Thursday 12th December with awards presented to recognise individuals and entrepreneurs for significant achievements and innovation or impacts.
