It was a tragedy no one could have foreseen and everything that can be done is being done! We can only thank God that there was no loss of life.

CPL’s staff and their livelihood has always been one of our highest priorities and will continue to be so. All Head Office and Warehouse staff have been spoken to and guaranteed their employment will not be affected as a result of the fire.

We have come together as a team and have moved quickly with new office space being organised, warehouse shelving being erected, all systems and processes backed up and all logistics in place to ensure our stores are running seamlessly for our customers.

The support from the community, suppliers, bankers, shareholders and customers has been overwhelming and we are very grateful for this, thank you.

CPL Group (which represents all of us who work at CPL – from the shop floor to the Chairman) have a shared purpose as a collective goal to heal, rebuild, regenerate and realise that we will become a much stronger entity.

We have been here for 30 years and we are here to stay!
