What is “Strata Title”?

Strata title is a form of property ownership commonly used for multi-level apartment complexes, townhouses, and other types of shared properties.

It involves individual ownership of a unit or apartment, as well as shared ownership of common areas.

Here is a work shop on this topic as issued by the Department of Lands & Physical Planning.

The Department of Lands & Physical Planning is pleased to invite the public to our upcoming Strata Title Stakeholder Engagement Workshops.

These workshops are scheduled across four regions as part of our commitment to educate and engage stakeholders on the new laws and processes of Strata Titles in Papua New Guinea.

Schedule of Meetings:

Momase Region: 28th to 30th August 2024 at the Lae International Hotel, Lae
Southern Region: 10th to 11th September 2024 at the Stanley Hotel, Port Moresby
Highlands Region: 23rd to 24th September 2024 at the Highlander Hotel, Mt. Hagen
New Guinea Islands Region: 14th to 15th October 2024 at Gazelle International Hotel
We strongly encourage property developers, real estate companies, municipal authorities, and any interested members of the public to participate.

These meetings are an excellent opportunity to learn about the new laws and processes involved in Strata schemes.
