Getting Around

There are several options to get around Port Moresby. These are by Taxis, Public Motor Vehicle (PMV) and Hire cars.

The public transport system in Port Moresby isn't that great. The PMV's are often unreliable (and unsafe) and we would strongly recommend that you check with your hotel to see if they have a shuttle operating. If so, we recommend that you take that option. We don't recommend most taxis but below are two which are known to be safe and reliable.

Hire cars are also recommended but this can be a bit expensive. Some hire car businesses offer drivers as well so it's worth checking with them about this.

Otherwise, below are some of the businesses we recommend that you consider when thinking of getting around Port Moresby.
