Bank South Pacific (BSP) is supporting excellence in education by supporting the University of Papua New Guinea’s (UPNG) Masters in Business Administration (MBA) annual Pinnacle Program.
A sponsorship of K10,000 was presented to the organising committee at the UPNG and witnessed by MBA students and academics.
The MBA Annual Pinnacle Program is a student initiative aimed to showcase the students’ research and the Masters in the Business Management (MBA) program.
BSP’s, Rosemary Mawe presented the Cheque of K10, 000 to UPNG’s School of Business and Public Policy’s Deputy Executive Dean – Academic and Students Affairs, Mr Ponnusamy Manohar towards the 2018 MBA Pinnacle.
Ms Mawe said, BSP is Papua New Guinean’s bank and one of its core values is People, therefore, BSP is proud to invest in such initiatives that further improve the Human Resource of PNG who will ultimately help to progress the development of the country.
She congratulated the student on another successful year of planning and encouraged participants to use this opportunity to learn as much as they can and to share ideas to continue to address the many challenges affecting our business environment today.
EMBA Pinnacle Coordinator, Mr Ponnusamy Manohar who received the sponsorship on behalf of the University and the MBA students thanked BSP for its continued support since 2015.
“We thank you and recognise that BSP is the leading financial institute in PNG and the Pacific and are grateful for the support and work that BSP puts into the community and country in developing its human resource,” he said.
The theme for this year’s Pinnacle Program is “SMEs challenges and Opportunities in Papua New Guinea”, is a key social and participatory program which the MBA candidates will use as an outlet to showcase their talents, knowledge and skills in tackling and addressing the many real issues and scenarios which may affect businesses, managers or employees in today’s challenging business environment.
