“It’s a great experience and you want to soak up the atmosphere, the crowd and all that, but it’s a tough game.” Glenn Hall (Blackhawks captain)
PNG Hunters will do battle this Sunday against competition leaders Townsville Blackhawks at the National Football Stadium in Round 6 of the Intrust Cup competition.
Sitting third on the ladder and two competition points behind the Blackhawks, the Hunters will be looking to continue their clean run on their home soil in-front of their die-hard local fans.
Even more interesting in this match is the return of raging bull and former Hunter Willie Minoga who will be on the interchange for the Blackhawks.
Blackhawks captain Glenn Hall knows this match isn’t going to be an easy one. He told Townsville Bulletin earlier this week:
“Every team in this competition has stepped up their game this year, but going across that ditch throws up different challenges, such as longer travel time, and some guys have not experienced a game like this before.
“It’s a great experience and you want to soak up the atmosphere, the crowd and all that, but it’s a tough game.”
See the details of the match below and don’t forget to hurry and get your tickets. Like other previous matches, it’s expected to be another sell-out crowd.
