Port Moresby, March 31st, 2017 | The Hebou PNG U19 Garamuts will be banking with convenience when they travel to Australia on 31st March (today) to play matches in Brisbane and Sunshine Coast.
The team were all smiles when BSP Staff, Raka Tau from the BSP Port Moresby Branch opened new accounts and delivered new BSP Visa Debit Cards for each of the team members on Wednesday at the Cricket Haus, Amini Park.
With the Bank committing to assist Papua New Guinea and sport development, the BSP Port Moresby Branch team also went a step further by providing Financial Literacy Training, prior to opening accounts and issuing BSP Visa Debit Cards.
The Hebou PNG U19 Garamuts Coach, Mr Hitolo Areni thanked the bank on behalf of the team and CPNG management.
He added, “For most of the Hebou PNG U19 Garamuts, this would be their first time to travel overseas and have their own BSP Visa Debit Card to access funds. It is safer and they can manage their funds. The financial literacy training will be helpful when they take the trip.”
BSP Port Moresby Branch Manager, Mrs. Diana Guria was thrilled to be a part of the Financial Literacy Training. She added that, it is worthwhile delivering Financial Literacy to the young men who will be representing PNG. “We encourage them to enjoy convenient access to their funds with their BSP Visa Card, when travelling the world to play cricket,” Mrs Guria encouraged.
