Having a stylish café with an array of sandwiches, hot food, cakes, coffee and the lot is normally unheard of in PNG. But the new Pacific International Hospital or more commonly known as PIH has brought an entirely new dimension to the medical arena.
Café Pacific is open to all whether patient or visitor. In fact, you don’t need to visit anyone at the hospital to enter the café. You can simply pay a visit to the café itself.
The café is located at 3 mile and it is immediately behind the reception at the billing section.
The café like most of the interior in the hospital has stylish interior design, comfortable chairs and 4 sofas to sit, relax with company or watch whatever is on, on the wall mounted large flat television screen.
Café Pacific offers a wide range of beverages from your cold vita juices to a range of hot beverages like tea, flat white, cappuccino and you get the idea.
The staff are friendly and helpful and there is little doubt that they’ve been trained well to service not only visitors of patients but the tireless working staff at the hospital who see the café as an opportunity wind down after a hard day or nights work.
The Chicken Panini is a favourite of ours and you can either have it cold or heated up. We prefer the latter.
The Café is open very early in the morning and open very late at night 7 days a week.
