Port Moresby Nature Park has won the Innovation Award at the the Zoo and Aquarium Association Awards.

This is the first time the park has won an award and if it continues to manage and develop the park the way it currently does, this won’t be the last award.

The park won the Innovation Award for establishing the sister-zoo partnership program with Zoos Victoria, the first such program in the world where a newly formed facility is drawing on the knowledge, skills and capacities of a long-running, well-developed zoo.

This partnership has enabled Port Moresby Nature Park to not only dream big, but also to achieve big, all in the space of a very short time.

Congratulations Port Moresby Nature Park and a big thank you to Zoos Victoria for being the ‘sister’.

Port Moreby Nature Park was also a nominee in the Exhibit Design Awards for Small Exhibit category, and in the Education Awards.

Well done to all those involved from Management to the cleaners.
