With due respect to those gone before him, never has a Papua New Guinean touched the hearts of many Papua New Guineans like the death of Kato Ottio.
It’s been amazing if not surreal just to hear and read from people who have been touched in some way by the talented star from Tatana Village in Papua New Guinea. For a person who is just 23 years old, can you imagine what could have been?
His talents off the field isn’t the only reason why there has been an outpouring of tributes to him. His off field attitude, his humbleness, a mummy’s boy and simply just an all round good guy is what Papua New Guineans who came to know him will miss the most.
Even those who never got to meet him have a sense connection with him.
Tributes have come from not only in Papua New Guinea but as far as the United Kingdom of which he was expected to travel to a couple of days before his untimely death.
