Digicel’s TVWAN has secured the rights to broadcast the National Rugby League matches starting as early as this Saturday.
The NRL will be televised through their new rugby channel. TVWAN through its Twitter account has stated that as long as you have a Digicel Play Box, there is no need to subscribe to watch the matches as they will be free to air.
TVWAN is already broadcasting the PNG Hunters matches and that has been well received by the public not only because it is the local team, but the quality of the broadcasting which comes in High Definition is something unique to many Papua New Guinea viewers.
EMTV has been the only broadcaster of the NRL matches which is also free to air but with TVWAN expected to broadcast the matches in High Definition, viewers are expected to be lured by the quality of the TVWAN service.
If you haven’t got a Digicel PlayBox, it’s probably time you purchased one and experience NRL matches live in quality high definition.
