Well, we’re quite fortunate to have received an invitation to the premier of the “Fuzzy Wuzzy” Documentary. It will certainly be an interesting watch whether you’re a history buff or not.
Produced by EMTEK for the PNG Tourism Promotion Authority (TPA), this 40 minutes’ documentary of Kokoda Track looks at its history from a Papua New Guinean perspective, as told by the only living Papua New Guinean survivor who participated in the war 75 years ago.
He was 16 years old then and now, he’s more than 90 years old.
It focuses on the role played by the Fuzzy Wuzzy Angels, a group of unlikely heroes who saved countless of lives on the Kokoda Track during the Second World War.
At the same, it is meant to showcase the physical beauty of one of the most emblematic tourist destinations in Papua New Guinea and more importantly, it reminds us of how those that battled at the Kokoda Track, should never be forgotten.
