BSP Backs Youth Summit

The Stret Pasin Bisnis inaugural Entrepreneurial Youth Summit by NDB Investments and the National Youth Development Authority (NYDA) has gained the support of Bank South Pacific (BSP) who has come on board with a financial boost of K50, 000.

NDBI Chief Executive Officer, Des Yaninen has thanked the financial institution for their timely support that could not have come a better time with the staging of the summit in the coming week.

He said: “On behalf of NDB Investments and the National Development Bank (NDB) group, we would like to welcome on board BSP as a gold sponsor of the Entrepreneurial Youth Summit, 2015.” Mr. Yaninen said.

Mr. Yaninen highlighted that the summit aimed at promoting youth business in Papua New Guinea and also to hear from young people the kind of challenges and obstacles they face to getting into business and to come up with multi-sectorial solutions to those challenges.

“We also hope to showcase many opportunities that are available for our young people out there to help them to get into business or to grow their business that they are simply not aware of.” Mr. Yaninen said.

Officiating at the presentation BSP’s Head of Channel Development Sandra Fore said that BSP was excited to support the summit as it was a vehicle for development for young Papua New Guineans.

“We believe that through this summit youth will have the opportunity to learn from the best, we hope that it will inspire them to show their potential as business men and women,” Ms Fore said.

The two day summit will be held at the Holiday Inn, Port Moresby from the 21st – 22nd of this month.
